The Tilta Ring Handle Starter is a precision-machined aluminum upgrade for the Tilta Advanced and Basic Ring Grips. Replacing the DJI battery with a compact mini cheeseplate, it features two 3/8"-16 anti-twist mounting points for top handles and four 1/4"-20 holes for additional accessories. It is lightweight, anodized, and designed and machined in the USA.
The Tilta Ring improves the usability of the DJI RS gimbals, but its design relies on DJI batteries as top handles. This creates a number of issues, as the batteries offer very few rigging points, and the rubber grip can become loose over time. The Handle Starter addresses both issues by allowing the use of third-party top handles that offer improved comfort and threaded mounting points for accessories such as Easyrig Quick Releases.
NOTE: The silver version in photos is a prototype. The final product will be anodized in matte black.
Note: The Handle Starter is not a battery. It must be used in conjunction with a Tilta Ring battery plate to power your gimbal.
