Installation Guide for Motr.S RT Motor Quick-Release System 

Tools:

Small flat head screwdriver

1/16” hex driver

Instructions:

1. Remove gear from the motor using a flat head screwdriver. Set aside the screw.
   

2. Using the 1/16 mm hex driver remove the 2x socket cap screws on either side of the motor head. Set aside all four screws.
   

3. Removed both sides of the old insert and set aside.

4. Place the new insert into the gear, taking care to align the 6 small pins with the 6 small holes on the gear. Using gentle but firm pressure, press the insert flush with the back of the gear. 

5. Place the split lock washer on the #4-40 screw and spin the gear onto the screw till it reaches the end.

6. Finish securing the gear to the insert by using a 1/16” hex driver. Make sure the screw is snug but do not overtighten.

7. Place the combined gear and insert into the head of the motor and tighten the knob till its finger is tight. Do not overtighten.

8. To switch the gear side, simply grab the gear and loosen the knob. Switch the sides of the gear and then retighten.
