Installation Guide for MK 3.1 RT Motor Quick-Release System 

Tools:

#1 Phillips screwdriver

2mm hex driver

Instructions:

1. Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver, remove the three flat-head screws that secure the gear to the insert. Set aside the screws, these will be needed later.

2. Using the 2mm hex driver, remove the 2 socket cap screws on either side of the motor head. 

3. Remove both sides of the old insert and set aside.

4. Place the new insert into the gear. Rotate the insert until the 3 countersunk holes on the gear align with the 3 holes in the new insert. Secure gear to the new insert using the screws from step #1.

5. Place the combined gear and insert into the head of the motor and tighten the knob till its finger is tight. Do not over-tighten.

6. To switch the gear side, simply grab the gear and loosen the knob. Switch the sides of the gear and then retighten the knob.
